30 Days of Thanks: Day 14

There are days when it is the bane of my existence, the distraction I really don’t need, something that just doesn’t live up to my hopes, but today I am thankful for the internet. It makes keeping in touch with people all over the world as easy as logging into your email (or Facebook). It is full of inspiration (or Pinspiration) for health, house, and home (and so many other things). It makes it possible for us to not only not pay for cable, but not have to be in front of our TV when our favorite shows are on. It makes projects easier, research quicker, and puts a wealth of knowledge (and some not so smarty pants stuff) at my finger tips. And, best of all, it gives me a job that I absolutely love.

So thank you internet, for being so great (even while being so frustrating). What are you thankful for today?

xoxo, Mallory

  1. Wendy says:

Today I’m thankful for inspirational friends who do amazing things to help others.

Take Anne-Marie for instance. She’s just a simple, crazy sweet, hard working Pittsburgh person who happened to WIN the Dirty Dozen in 2011, and was later invited by a cycling teammate to join their 2014 Race Across America team. Their team is raising money for Pulmonary Hypertension (hence their team name of Phenomenal Hope).

Next Tuesday she’ll be at a spin class fundraiser two days after completing Ironman Arizona (this Sunday!).

Oh, and this is the same kind soul who treated my dear hub to a long Pittsburgh training weekend. He was introduced to “hills” and as a result has now become a more true cycling climber. He often gleefully shares, “I passed x amount of people on the hills! They should go to Pitt, too!”

Since the internet is so wonderful- here are some really cool bits on the Dirty Dozen (cycling race that goes up the 13 steepest hills in Pitt..including 37% Canton Avenue- which is cobblestone)
