20 Weeks

How far along: 20 Weeks. HALF WAY.

How big is baby: 10 inches from head to heel! A BANANA.

Total weight gain: 0.00 lbs gained. Actually, according to my scale, I lost weight this week. But we’re going to hope the scale is wrong and just report 0lbs gained.

Maternity Clothes: Nothing new – but I am wearing a borrowed maternity top in this weeks photo!

Sleep: Still wonderful.

Best moment of the week: Some really great girl (and baby) time with a friend.

Food Cravings: Pears + goat cheese.

Food Aversions: The dehydrated strawberries in my Special K.

Symptoms: Well, I’m very emotional. Quick to lose it. And my mind can not concentrate when I need to be packing to evacuate and I just don’t want to. Also, I’ve been having slight pressure on my back. Nothing bad. Just pressure.

Movement: Jonathan felt Baby kicking! Twice! The hard part though, is that he’ll be kicking away in there, and as soon as one of us puts our hand on my stomach, he stops.

What Iā€™m looking forward to: Possibly an ultrasound this week… if it doesn’t get pushed back thanks to Isaac.

What I miss: Being somewhat emotionally stable.

xoxo, Mallory

Our girl did the same thing, being a bit stage shy when someone else is trying to feel her moving. I thought of it as her being strong willed already. However these days she can’t hide quite so much. It’s gotten to the point where you can literally see a small globe (likely a foot or knee) pass across my belly as she shifts. It’s such a weird and neat experience.

Anyway, you look great! Congrats on half way. Stay safe and dry!

You are looking wonderful! As for your symptom of not feeling completely in control of your emotions- join the club! When I was expecting Anna, Daniel reheated chicken for me and put ketchup on the plate before bringing it to me. I cried because he remembered I liked ketchup with my chicken! The joys of pregnancy šŸ™‚
